Cercli, a Dubai, UAE-based provider of an HR and Payroll platform for direct employees, contractors and EOR in MENA, raised $4M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Afore Capital, with participation from COTU Ventures, Y Combinator and Rebel Fund, alongside Karim Atiyeh, Sebastian Mejia, Tony Dong, Tony Jamous, Allison Pickens, the founders and executives from unicorns Kitopi, Careem and other MENA-based startups.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.
Founded in 2023 by Akeed Azmi and David Reche, Cercli provides a platform for MENA businesses to hire, manage and pay their global workforce. The system, which is compliant with market-specific regulatory changes and labour law revisions, integrates with popular HR, finance, accounting, legal and IT software solutions.
Since launching earlier in 2024, the companyhas grown by 25% MoM and has paid out over $23m in clients’ employee salaries across 31 countries.
