Cerrion, a Zurich, Switzerland-based developer of video AI for industrial automation, raised $5M in funding.
The round was led by Y Combinator and Justin Kan’s Goat Capital, with additional participation from session.vc, Soma Capital, 10x Founders, Rebel Fund and angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its reach across Europe and the United States, enhancing its platform’s capabilities and increasing its impact on the manufacturing industry.
Led by CEO Karim Saleh, Cerrion is an AI technology company dedicated to improving industrial automation. By providing video AI, it enables manufacturers to detect and respond to production line issues in real-time, reducing downtime, operational inefficiencies and safety risks. The platform is currently in use in factories across eight countries including the USA, Germany, Italy and Turkey. The company serves some of the world’s largest glass manufacturing companies, including Stoelzle Glass Group, Sisecam, and Vidrala.
