DubClub, a Chicago, IL-based platform for people to consume, discuss, and buy premium sports content from creators, raised $7.5M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Roseanne Wincek of Renegade Partners. Other investors included Dave Gilboa of Warby Parker, former Barstool Sports operators, and former athletes including Hall of Fame NFL players.

The company intends to use the funds to hire product and engineering leaders.

Led by Ryan Gaertner, Lewis Burik, and Andrew Daschbach, DubClub provides a platform where people consume, discuss, and buy premium sports content from creators. With DubClub, cappers can set up a messaging system that sends real-time plays and write-ups to their subscribers over push notification, 3rd party apps like Telegram and Discord, or email – depending on the end user’s notification preferences. The platform allows cappers to automate the logistics of attracting subscribers, managing subscribers, sending plays, and getting paid.

DubClub contributes over 20% of the average capper’s paying subscription base, driven by the network of DubClub members. The software also saves 10+ hours that these premium sports content creators typically spend on administrative tasks for their online business.

Since its inception, the company has facilitated over $50M in subscription payments for cappers, processed over 5 million transactions, and delivered messages containing researched informational sports content from creators to millions of paying subscribers.

This followed a Seed funding of $3M led by Tripp Jones of Uncork Capital and Brian Reilly of Will Ventures raised in 2022, bringing the total funding to date to over $10M.
