Ferrum Health, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a software platform for deploying AI into health systems, raised $16M in Series A funding.

The round, which brought the total amount to $31M, was led by Foundry, with participation from Catalyst by Wellstar, Headwaters Ventures, and UnitedHealthcare Accelerator. Other investors included Blumberg Capital, Cercano, GSR, Urban Innovation Fund, and Singtel Innov8.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.

Led by CEO Pelu Tran, Ferrum Health Ferrum is a vendor-neutral, privately deployed platform that allows clinicians to validate the performance of AI on local datasets and deploy AI into their existing workflows, all without protected health information (PHI) leaving the health system firewall. The library of AI algorithms now covers oncology, women’s and men’s health, cardiovascular, neurology, orthopedics, and more. provides an enterprise AI deployment platform to improve patient outcomes.

As of 2024, more than 2,500,000 patient records have been analyzed via the Ferrum Enterprise AI Platform.
