Habitat Health Raises More Than $50M in Funding

Habitat Health, a San Francisco, CA-based integrated health care payer and provider, raised more than $50M in funding

Backers included Town Hall Ventures, New Enterprise Associates, and Kaiser Permanente.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.

Habitat Health empowers older adults to manage their health and maintain their independence in their homes and communities. It offers health insurance coverage as well as medical and social care in its own centers and in participants’ homes. Through partnerships with health leaders like Kaiser Permanente, it delivers solutions to meet the care needs of aging populations.

The company also announced the appointments of:

  • Matthew Bennett as co-founder and CEO.
  • Carmen A. Peralta, MD, MAS as chief medical officer.
  • Geoff Price as executive chairman of the board.

It also added these members of the senior leadership team:

  • Vinay Mascarenhas, acting chief operating officer and senior partner.
  • Robert Fuentes, co-founder and chief strategy officer.
  • Mandira Singh, acting chief platform officer and senior partner.
