Harbor, a Dallas, TX-based infant care technology company, raised $7M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Trust Ventures, with participation from Tim Ferriss, Morrison Seger Venture Capital Partners, retired US professional tennis player John Isner and Madison McKinley, NFL punter Thomas Morstead and Lauren Morstead, founder of The Hustle Sam Parr and Sara Sodine Parr, Trey Kennedy, and other family offices.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Led by CEO Kevin Lavelle, Harbor is creating a baby monitor with capabilities that include a remote night nanny service, health tech services for infant and postpartum care, and comprehensive features that will help parents get much-needed sleep and infant care expertise at a fraction of traditional costs.
The baby monitoring system features a dedicated 10″ local monitor that operates independently of the internet and securely connects to the cloud only when users choose enabling a mobile & desktop app as well.
