Lucky Energy Closes $11.75M Series A Funding

Lucky Energy, an Austin, TX-based energy drink company, raised $11.75M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Brand Foundry Ventures with additional investment from Imaginary Ventures, Sapphire Sport, and Sugar Capital, among others.

Founded by beverage entrepreneur Richard Laver in 2023, Lucky Energy provide energy drinks that is available in 5 flavors with 5 ingredients (Maca, Ginseng, Beta-Alanine, Taurine, Caffeine). Since its launch, the brand has seen rapid growth across the industry, with plans to reach over 8,000 doors by end of year.

The company intends to use the funds to grow brand awareness and trial, support strategic partnerships, and accelerate retail growth as Lucky Energy looks to enter major retailers in 2025.

With the new round Lucky Energy will continue to expand its team, including their new Chief Marketing Officer Hamid Saify who joined from Liquid Death and Chief Growth Officer Aaron Sorelle who joined from C4 Energy, in an effort to bring critical insights and expertise into scaling the energy drink brand. Additional hires across marketing, finance, and operations include Jeanette Bustamante (RXBAR).
