Oak Essential, a Los Angeles, CA-based beauty brand, received an investment from Silas Capital and Unilever Ventures.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds for enhanced product development, increased marketing efforts, and broader distribution.
Founded by Jenni Kayne, Oak Essentials offers an assortment of skincare essentials including the cult-classic Moisture Rich Balm, Ritual Oil, and Dew Body Oil. In the three years since inception, the brand has launched 26 products, initially focusing on skincare before expanding into body care. Oak Essentials has sold over half a million products since launch.
Most recently, the brand launched Renew Face Polish, which contains biodegradable, sustainably sourced ingredients. Upcoming launches through the end of 2024 will include a moisturizing cleanser and bath products.
