PictorLabs, a Los Angeles, CA-based software company transforming histopathology with AI-powered virtual staining, raised $30M in Series B funding.
The round was led by Insight Partners, with participation from M Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to further advance its technology, expand its market reach, and accelerate the adoption of AI.
Led by CEO Yair Rivenson, PictorLabs has developed AI-powered virtual staining software to advance the practice of histopathology. As a spun off from the UCLA Colleges of Engineering and Medicine, the startup delivers digitally stained slides in minutes and allows results with insights for research, pharma, and clinical applications, improving patient outcomes. PictorLabs’ solution allows physicians to conduct virtually unlimited number of tests from a single specimen, empowering researchers to obtain insights, providing a more comprehensive understanding of examined tissue condition and enabling better-informed decisions.
