Automated Industrial Robotics, a Los Angeles, CA-based industrial automation company focused on acquiring and facilitating the growth of industrial automation companies, announced the acquisition of Robotics & Drives, a Mullingar, Ireland-based industrial automation company.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

The acquisition will further reinforce AIR’s presence in Europe and its ability to integrate robotics solutions into its automated systems. The transaction was funded primarily by an additional investment from an Ares Management Private Equity fund.
