Cove, a US developer of a hyper-visual AI collaboration space, raised $6M in seed funding.

The round was led by Sequoia Capital, with participation from Elad Gil, Homebrew, Adverb, Common Metal, Scott Belsky, Lenny Rachitsky, Allie K. Miller and more.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Co-founded by Mike Chu, Stephen Chau, and Andy Szybalski, Cove has developed and announced the general availability of its AI powered visual workspace for thinking. The interface enter the browser’s sidebar and allows users to add text, tables, images, webpages, and PDFs, with all of the elements becoming shared context between them and the AI.

All content is directly editable by both users and their AI collaborator, so they can build off each other’s ideas. The AI can even make edits without having to re-stream a whole answer. Cove has access to the latest information from the web, and can do many web searches in parallel—imagine tables that fill themselves with fresh data. At each stage of the journey, it suggests possible next steps.

With the Chrome extension, no special integration is needed to use Cove alongside favorite websites and apps—email, docs, CRM, and more. Users can ask Cove anything about a web page, collect and compare information from multiple pages as they browse, or clip content into the workspace.

The platform was built for big picture thinking and planning, from things like planning a family vacation and designing a new business, to finding a job and designing home renovations.
