Deck Raises $4.5M in Seed Funding

-

Deck, a Montreal, Canada-based provider of a modern API for accessing utility data, raised $4.5M in Seed funding.

The round was led by Golden Ventures and Better Tomorrow Ventures with participation from Luge Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to grow its product and hire team members across
engineering and sales.

Founded by Yves-Gabriel Leboeuf, Fred Lavoie, Bruno Lambert, and Julien Bélisle, Deck provides businesses and software companies with a platform to automate the collection and integration of critical data, including energy, fuel, waste, and water, to streamline energy management and carbon accounting processes.

The system, available in over 30 countries, allows users to extract data from more than 100,000 electricity, fuel, natural gas, water, and sanitation sources. The company has created two offerings: one for direct businesses and the second for platforms:

  • Deck Self-Serve, designed for Enterprise users, allows team members to connect, export, and view data in one dashboard.
  • Deck API enables platforms to embed utility account linking capabilities into their user flow.
