EnviCore, a Calgary, Alberta, Canada-based company which specializes in sustainable materials technology, raised CAD$4.2M in Seed funding.
The round was led by CSN Inova Ventures, Heidelberg Materials, Techstars, Hillside Ventures, and angel investors Mark and Faye McGregor.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its SCM production capacity, which has already been validated through partnerships with global cement and construction companies.
Led by CEO Shahrukh Shamim, EnviCore is focused on developing innovative low-carbon technologies for the cement and construction industries. It produces sustainable supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) from recycled and natural mineral feedstock, offering a scalable solution to reduce carbon emissions in cement production and contributing to global decarbonization efforts.
