Fullscript, an Ottawa, Canada-based provider of a healthcare platform for whole person care, acquired Rupa Health, a San Francisco, CA-based company that helps practitioners order, track and manage more than 3,000 laboratory tests in a single interface.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

With the acquisition, Fullscript will be able to scale and expand its comprehensive platform for whole person care.

Led by Co-founder and CEO Tara Viswanathan and co-founder Rosa Hamalainen, Rupa Health provides a platform that optimizes the logistics of lab work by integrating test ordering, results management, and patient communication for clinics across the United States. Through it, healthcare providers can access to a wide range of diagnostic tools and deliver more personalized care.

In addition, the company’s educational platform, Rupa University, has educated practitioners in personalized, whole person care via their courses taught by industry experts.

Founded in 2011 and led by CEO Kyle Braatz, Fullscript is a provider of a healthcare platform focused on the whole person care. It offers over 100,000 providers and 10M patients access to personalized and effective care. Fullscript also enables a care experience more sustainable for providers and more attainable for patients, resulting in time saved, more personalized care, better adherence, and, ultimately, better outcomes.

Commenting on the news, Kyle Braatz said: “This combination represents a significant step forward to achieving our collective goal. Together, we will offer the most comprehensive clinical platform where all practitioners – from integrative medicine specialists to traditional physicians – have the infrastructure, information and decision-support tools needed to practice whole person medicine.”
