Fungiball, a Paris, France-based provider of a fantasy tennis platform, raised €2.2M in PreSeed funding.
Backers included Adrien Dassault and Stephan Altmuller, with participation from Cliff Capital and BPI France.
The company intends to use the funds to grow the tech team to scale the platform and enhance user experience, develop new features, including free-to-play modes and fiat payment options.
Led by CEO Jean Matias, Fungiball provides a fantasy tennis platform that combines fantasy sports with real-world tennis action, offering fans a way to engage with their favorite players while providing new revenue streams for tennis professionals. It has exclusive licenses from over 300 tennis players and partnerships with organizations like Winners Alliance, the commercial affiliate of the Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA). and France’s iconic Le Coq Sportif sports retailer.
Since its official launch in January 2024, Fungiball has attracted over 5,000 registered users.
The company also added tennis stars Daniil Medvedev & Alexander Zverev as ambassadors.
