Highnote, a NYC-based audio collaboration platform, raised an additional $2.5M in funding.

Backers included Dropbox Ventures, Afore Capital, Character Capital, Brooklyn Bridge Ventures, and Precursor Ventures, as well as angel investors from Figma, Atlassian, Abstract, and Dropbox, as well as several who previously invested from SoundCloud, Auth0, and Splice.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its development efforts.

Led by Jordan Bradley, CEO and co-founder, Highnote offers a streamlined workflow that enables creators to collaborate from demo to distribution, make comments, exchange ideas, and organize notes on any audio file.

By centralizing communication, reducing rounds of revisions, and streamlining the workflow from demo to distribution, Highnote enables creators to collaborate efficiently on projects of any scale. Starting October 15th, a new Dropbox integration allows users to open any audio file from their Dropbox directly in Highnote for lossless playback, review, and notes. In November, the company will introduce a full 2-way integration, creating a seamless audio layer on top of any Dropbox account.

With the investment from Dropbox Ventures, Highnote plans to explore AI-powered features aimed at enhancing the creative process, including comment summarization, tone analysis, and creative recommendations—all integrated into editing software to streamline the audio workflow and improve efficiency for creators.
