Liner, a Seoul, South Korea-based provider of an AI search engine for students and researchers, raised $29M in Series B funding.

The round was led by Intervest and Atinum Investment, with participation from Samsung Venture Investment.

Proceeds will go towards their efforts in building out their business in specialized information retrieval.

Founded by CEO Luke Jinu Kim and his co-founder Brian (Chanmin) Woo, Liner is an AI search engine that allows students and researchers to find credible, reliable information from sources like academic papers and trusted websites. It emphasizes transparency and provides balanced responses by comprehensively citing every source, every time. It empowers students by combining the large language models (LLM) with a database of sources, enabling information discovery.

Over 10 million users globally use it.
