Lovable, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company creating autonomous software engineers, raised $7.5M in Pre-Seed funding.
The round was led by Hummingbird and byFounders, as well as angel investors Mattias Miksche and Bjarke Klinge Staun, Shopify’s Siavash Ghorbani, Voi’s Fredrik Hjelm, and Creandum co-founder Stefan Lindeberg.
The company intends to use the amount to hire new talent to join their existing team, enhance its compute resources, and data collection and refinement.
Founded by Anton Osika and Fabian Hedin, Lovable is creating autonomous software engineers, empowered by Large Multimodal Models, that allow anyone to create, deploy and iterate on any software. The platform allows users to describe desired features for websites and web apps, with GPT Engineer’s AI generating production-ready code in real-time. Through advanced reasoning, GPT Engineer can create, debug, and maintain application integrity autonomously. GPT Engineer’s system understands user intent, recognises its own capabilities and limitations, can fix projects independently, and knows when to request user input.
It has already garnered interest, with over 27,000 people on the waitlist and more than 52,000 GitHub stars on the first open-source CLI (Command Line Interface) version.
