Univa Health Raises £1M in Pre-Seed Funding

-

Univa Health, a London, UK-based eating disorder care startup, raised £1m in pre-seed funding.

The round was led by YZR Capital, with participation from Calm/Storm Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds for the development and commercialisation of its personalised digital care platform, and for its first clinical study, to be made in collaboration with the UK’s NHS, as well as help build the tech, product, and clinical teams needed for the platform’s launch in early 2025.

Co-founded by healthcare entrepreneurs Rich Andrews and Jose Santos, Univa is addressing the critical challenges in eating disorder care. The company’s platform enables healthcare systems to manage and treat eating disorders enabling clinicians to create tailored treatment plans and monitor patient well-being in real time. The digital tools are integrated into clinical workflows to allow users to address, monitore, and treate eating disorders, aiming for better long-term results and recovery for those affected.
