Glint Solar, an Oslo, Norway-based provider of a SaaS solar installation planning platform, raised $8m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Smedvig Ventures joined by Antler, Futurum Ventures, and Momentum.
The company intends to use the funds to expand both its product offerings and enter new markets, serving both existing and new solar developers.
Glint Solar develops software that provides a way to determine the feasibility of a site for solar development, which offers data that will help clients identify solar projects that offer better project margins. The solar site analysis tools are based on satellite technology, allowing for a rich understanding of a potential site’s conditions.
The company serves companies like Turn Energy, Statkraft, E.ON, Recurrent Energy, and more across the 35+ countries.
