New Lantern, a San Francisco, CA-based cloud-native AI radiology suite company, raised $19M in Series A funding.
The round was led by Benchmark, bringing total funding to more than $23M. Benchmark General Partner Eric Vishria is joining the New Lantern board. Other participants included Afore Capital, Anthology Fund, Neo, SV Angel, Guillermo Rauch, Amjad Masad, Saji Wickramasekara, Jay Kreps, and Gokul Rajaram, among others.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Founded in 2021 and led by Founder and CEO Shiva Suri, New Lantern is the AI copilot for radiologists. The company has built the first complete AI radiology suite that automates key imaging and reporting workflows, boosting radiologists’ efficiency. Today, the platform automates 25% of radiology workflows and, over time, it aims to automate up to 90% of workflows to effectively act as an AI radiology resident.
