OneSkin, a San Francisco, CA-based biotech skin health brand, closed its Series A funding.
The round, which brought the total amount to $20M, was led by Selva Ventures, alongside with PLUS Capital, Unilever Ventures, Able Partners, and former investors SOSV, and Meta Planet. Additional investors include Brazilian-American model and designer, Camila Alves McConaughey, from PLUS Capital’s collective of artist and athlete partners, and tech entrepreneur Kevin Rose.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate research and novel formulas and invest human capital focused on growth opportunities and new sales channels for the business.
Led by CEO Carolina Oliveira, OneSkin is a science-based provider of topical skin longevity treatments. The brand’s novel approach has led to the patented peptide and key ingredient, OS-01, a peptide scientifically proven to reverse the biological age of the skin by preventing the accumulation of senescent cells, a major driver of aging, leaving skin looking younger and healthier.
