Arctic Instruments, a Helsinki, Finland-based company developing amplifiers for quantum computers, raised EUR 2.35M in funding.
The round was led by Lifeline Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Led by CEO Joonas Govenius, Arctic Instruments is a spinoff of VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, a state-owned research and development organization, which develops superconducting microwave amplifier technology. The company’s ability to manufacture near-quantum-limited amplifiers consistently and in volume is critical for enabling the construction of large-scale quantum computers with accurate qubit state readout.
The company’s amplifiers were developed as part of VTT’s research.
