Azimuth AI Closes $11.5M Funding Round

Azimuth AI, a Sacramento, CA- and Hyderabad, India-based startup producing highly customized silicon products for edge and embedded computing markets, raised $11.5M in funding.

The round was led by Cyient, and Moneta Ventures, with participation from Growth Factory and AUM ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Krishna Bodanapu, Cyient Executive Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Ramya Mohan, Cyient Vice President and Head of Group Strategy, and Ashu Bhalla, Partner at Moneta Ventures, joined the Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to for productizing its SoC for a global Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and to grow the team and new partnerships.

Co-founded by Sri Badiga and Praveen Yasarapu, Azimuth AI develops silicon products that champion environmental sustainability and facilitate affordable access to computing solutions in cost-challenged markets, with a focus on embedded computing silicon products.
