Ethiack, a Coimbra, Portugal-based provider of an ethical hacking platform, raised €4M in funding.
The round was led by Explorer Investments, and followed by CoreAngels, Paulo Marques, Startup Wise Guys, Aralab, Amena Ventures, and Start Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds for its expansion into new markets, starting with the UK and Europe, but with eyes on the U.S. and the Middle East, and continue to develop its Hackbot: its next generation of Continuous Pentesting technology, which requires resources and people dedicated to R&D.
Co-founded by André Baptista (CTO), Vítor Pinho (CCSO) and Jorge Monteiro (CEO) Ethiack provides an autonomous offensive security platform empowered by hackers and AI to identify vulnerabilities instantly, allowing tech teams to focus on building. Hackbot aims to become a ethical hacker, available 24/7, capable of reporting critical vulnerabilities, including new CVEs and unknown vulnerabilities, 0days.
