NetBird, a Berlin, Germany-based networked security platform, raised €4M in Seed funding.
The round was led by InReach Ventures and Nauta, with participation from Antler.
The company, which also received a grant from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Researchm intends to use the funds to expand operations, its development, and business reach efforts.
Co-founded by CEO Misha Bragin and CTO Maycon Santos, NetBird combines a WireGuard®-based overlay network with Zero Trust Network Access, to offer a unified platform for reliable and secure connectivity.
NetBird is an open source platform consisting of a collection of components, responsible for handling peer-to-peer connections, tunneling, authentication, and network management (IPs, keys, ACLs, etc). It uses open-source technologies like WireGuard®, Pion ICE (WebRTC), Coturn, and software developed by NetBird to make secure private networks deployment and management simple.
