Symmio, a Singapore-based provider of a decentralized derivatives protocol, raised $3.1M in funding.

The round included $2.1M in new investments from top-tier investors including Spartan Group, Orbs, MCLB and Blockchain Founders Fund as well as previous investments by @AgentChud, MS2 Capital, Gametheorizing (Selini Capital), GMoney and Prime Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.

Led by CEO Jack Knutson, Symmio is an intent-centric clearing layer for derivatives, enabling permissionless exposure to established and emerging assets. Its infrastructure allows founders to launch decentralized derivatives exchanges in days, allowing them to focus on user growth while the protocol manages liquidity onboarding.

With Peer2Peer clearing, liquidity providers can offer synthetic leveraged exposure to any asset, enhancing market accessibility. Currently live on four blockchain networks and supporting five decentralized exchanges, Symmio aims to drive innovation in DeFi by delivering solutions for new financial products.
