Billboxx, a NYC-based provider of an integrated billing to payment platform for businesses across Africa, raised $1.6M pre-seed funding.
Backers included Norrsken Accelerator, Kaleo Ventures, Founders Factory Africa — FFA (now 54 Collective), P2Vest and Afrinovation Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to ecxpand operations and its development efforts.
Co-founded in early 2023 by Justus Obaoye and Abdulazeez Ogunjobi, Billboxx provides Its an integrated billing-to-payment platform that streamlines billing processes, reduces inefficiencies from manual invoicing, and mitigates the impact of deferred payments. By providing automated billing and invoicing, secure payment facilitation, and cash flow financing, Billboxx boasts strategic integrations with a commercial bank in Nigeria, an African payment gateway, and multiple lending partners, enabling payment facilitation via bank transfers, cards, and financing options.
It has facilitated over four million dollars in invoice payments through its MVP launched in May 2023.
