Bythen, a Jakarta, Indonesia-based provider of a platform that creates ownable digital characters for empowering virtual creators, raised US$5M in Seed funding.

The round was led by Vector Inc. (Japan, TYO: 6058) and Skystar Capital, with participation from East Ventures, BEENEXT, OSK, and AppWorks, as well as angel investors including William Tanuwijaya (Co-founder of Tokopedia), Ryan Lee (Co-founder of Pinkfong Company), among others.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.

Founded in 2024, Bythen enables users to produce creative content, livestream, and transform personalized characters into AI-powered digital twins called “Bytes”. The platform enables everyone globally to become virtual influencers, leveraging AI-powered content generation to automate 24/7 engagement across various social media platforms.

It operates on a revenue-sharing model, channeling earnings to its creator community, creating an ecosystem that shares growth and success with its global community.
