Coram AI, a Sunnyvale, CA-based LLM-powered video security company, raised $13.8M in Series A funding.
The round was led by Battery Ventures. Existing investors 8VC and Mosaic Ventures also participated. As part of the financing, Battery Partner Marcus Ryu, the former co-founder and CEO of Guidewire Software, joined Coram’s board.
The company intends to use the funds to build more product lines and grow its go-to-market and engineering teams.
Founded by Ashesh Jain and Peter Ondruska, Coram specializes in AI-native, hardware-agnostic video security. It provides a security platform to help customers in sectors such as K-12 education, manufacturing and logistics better monitor their sites to improve safety and efficiency. Customers include Middletown Unified School District in California and PCC Community Markets in Washington.
