Enhanced Medical Nutrition

Enhanced Medical Nutrition (EMN), a Toronto, Canada-based food-as-medicine company that commercializes medical nutrition products to improve outcomes in surgery, raised USD $5M in Series A funding.

The round was led by dsm-firmenich Venturing and the Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) arm of Ajinomoto Co., Inc. with participation from PeakBridge, Elder Ventures, angel investors and existing shareholders.

The company intends to use the funds to expand ENROUTE®, a nutrition program designed for the dietary management of surgery.

Led by CEO Eric Zimmerman, EMN is a food-as-medicine company developing medical nutrition products to help patients prepare better and recover faster. Its flagship product, ENROUTE®, is designed to address the unique nutritional requirements of patients undergoing surgery, reducing risk, accelerating recovery outcomes, and improving patient experience.
