Moonrider, a Bengaluru, India-based electric tractor tech company, raised $2.2m in seed funding.
The round was co-led by AdvantEdge Founders and Micelio Technology Fund, with participation from unnamed angels.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Founded in August 2023 by Anoop Srikantaswamy and Ravi Kulkarni, Moonrider provides a range of heavy-duty electric tractors, which are poised to reduce operational costs for farmers and fleet operators. At the core of the company’s efforts is product development and battery technology, that proves beneficial for applications beyond agriculture as well – such as airports, civil infrastructure & construction, mining and supply chain/logistics.
