Claros Raises USD9.75M in Initial Funding

Claros, a Mclean, VA-based provider of a power management platform optimizing energy delivery and consumption at data centers, raised USD9.75M in initial funding.

Backers included Red Cell Partners, General Catalyst, Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation (VIPC)’s Virginia Venture Partners, Composite Capital Partners, and others.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.

Led by CEO Daniel Kultran, Claros is a power management platform company that’s leveraging hardware and software to optimize energy delivery and consumption at data centers to increase compute performance and optimize efficiency. Furthermore, it is developing hardware to shift from alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC) power distribution.

Daniel Kultran previously served as the Chief Technology Officer of Epirus. Grant Verstandig, co-founder of Claros and Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Red Cell Partners.
