Lumotive, a Redmond, WA-based provider of programmable optical semiconductor products, raised $45M in Series B funding.

Backers included Swisscom Ventures, East Bridge, EDOM, Grazia, Hokuyo Inc. and TSVC, Gates Frontier, MetaVC Partners, Quan Funds, USAA, and HiMax Inc.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate sales growth of its light control metasurface (LCM™) technology and in other three strategic areas:

  • Global Market Expansion
  • Data Center AI Infrastructure
  • Aerospace and Defense

Led by CEO Sam Heidari, Lumotive provides programmable optical semiconductors that improve perception, increase computing power, and enable reliable high-speed communication in various industries. The light control metasurface (LCM™) chip is a patented, software-defined photonic beamforming solid-state technology. It meets essential needs in various sectors, including 3D sensing and AI computing.
