CADDi, a Chicago, IL- and Tokyo, Japan-based provider of an AI data platform for manufacturing companies, raised $38M in Series C extension funding.

The round was led by Atomico, with participation from other investors including Global Brain and Minerva Growth.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.

Founded in 2017 by Yushiro Kato and Aki Kobashi, CADDi provides an AI data platform for manufacturing companies to manage supply chain data. The company started as a tech-enabled manufacturing marketplace and received support from investors like Arena Holding, DCM, DST Global, Globis Capital and World Innovation Lab. With operations in four countries, including Japan, the United States, Vietnam, and Thailand, CADDi serves hundreds of customers, including Hitachi, Kawasaki, Subaru, and Tokyo Electron.

The company has raised a total of $202M in funding to date and has more than 600 employees globally.
