Camber, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a cloud-based computing platform, raised $4M in Seed funding.

The round was led by Base10 Partners. The raise followed the $1.5M pre-seed led by PearVC.

The company intends to use the funds to enhance user experience, open new verticals and continue their work building partnerships with research institutions, in the U.S. and globally.

Founded by CEO Aristotle Socrates, Camber provides a cloud-based computing platform designed to accelerate scientific research, AI development, and data-intensive workloads through its APIs and access to scalable CPU and GPU resources. It offers an interface that abstracts away complex infrastructure, allowing researchers, scientists and educators to focus on discovery and innovation.

With a few lines of Python code, scientists can run fast physics simulations on the latest GPUs, decode metagenomics data at scale, train complex models on massive datasets, and manage their results—all within a unified platform.

Camber now has 200 users across 30 institutions.
