Catchwise, an Oslo, Norway-based technology platform for the fishing industry, raised NOK 14.5M (€1.25M) in its pre-seed funding round.

The round was led by Dreamcraft Ventures, joined by Sondo, Ocean Impact, and angel investors from tech companies like Oda, Enode, and Meltwater.

The company intends to use the funds to further strengthen its product-market fit and accelerate development of its AI and data platform tailored for maritime operations.

Founded in 2023 by Founded by Ludvig A. Løddesøl, Tomas Roaldsnes, Jonas Dammen, Kristian Andersen Hole, and Åsmund Brekke, and fully operational since March 2024, Catchwise provides a platform combining modern web technology platform, advanced AI, and comprehensive ocean data to allow fisheries to optimize routes and operations, reduce search time, fuel consumption, and carbon emissions.

By combining SAT-AIS (satellite ship tracking) data, fisheries data, and extensive ocean measurements—like temperature and salinity—Catchwise delivers actionable insights directly to fishing captains. Its integrated solution featuring real-time visualization, predictive analytics, and operational automation promises to reduce vessel search times.
