Onyx, a San Francisco, CA-based first AI deep research agent designed for the workplace, raised $10M in Seed funding.
The round was led by Khosla Ventures and First Round Capital, with participation from Y Combinator and angels like Gokul Rajaram (Coinbase, Pinterest), Arash Ferdosi (Dropbox), Amit Agarwal (Datadog), Kulveer Taggar (Zeus Living) and others.
Thew company intends to use the funds to continue to develop its AI research agent and hire for key roles in engineering, developer relations and go-to-market.
Led by Yuhong Sun, and Chris Weaver, Onyx acts as a coworker, available 24/7. The AI agent service designed for the workplace explores parallel pathways and iteratively digs down promising directions to retrieve the most complete context for each question. Enterprise customers incluide Netflix, Thales Group, etc.
