Pluralis Research, a Melbourne, Australia-based AI company developing open-source AI through decentralized training, raised $7.6M in Seed funding
The round was led by USV and CoinFund with participation from Topology, Variant, Eden Block, Bodhi Ventures, and angel investors Balaji Srinivasan and Clem Delangue.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Founded by CEO Alexander Long, Pluralis Research is an AI research organization that is developing open-source AI through decentralized, model-parallel training. Its approach, termed Protocol Learning, leverages a decentralized and collaborative training and ensures models are never fully materialized, and hence remain only within the protocol, facilitating programmatic value flow to training participants.
