Soldera, an Estonian provider of a platform for automation of renewable energy certificates, raised €2.5m in new seed funding.
The round was led by Lifeline Ventures joined by Skaala, Taavet Hinrikus’ (Wise) and Sten Tamkivi’s (Skype) investment firm, Lemonade Stand VC and others.
The company intends to use the funds to expand into renewable energy markets to transform GO trading globally, making it more transparent, efficient, and accessible for both major utilities and independent energy producers.
Led by Stenver Jerkku, CEO, Soldera provides a technology platform that automates the Guarantees of Origin administrative work for teams to handle every aspect of GO sales paperwork, including issuance, management, reporting, sales, and invoicing. In addition to regular spot sales, the platform features strategies, all executed at leading prices thanks to unparalleled market access. The system is used by Utilitas, Kaamos Energy, Merito partners and others.
In 11 months, Soldera has added over 3000 power plants to its customer base.
