Tera AI Raises $7.8M in Seed Funding

-

Tera AI, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a spatial reasoning system for robots, raised $7.8M in Seed funding.

The round was led by Felicis, Inovia, Caltech + Wilson Hill, and Naval Ravikant.

The company intends to use the funds to deploy the initial solution into real embedded devices this year and will be growing the technical team across both product and research.

Led by CEO Tony Zhang, Tera is developing a platform-agnostic, software-only spatial reasoning system that enables any robot to navigate its surroundings with its own camera. It aims to help robots navigate new environments similar to how humans can – with no prior setup or additional sensors and external signals from the environment.
