Zero Point Motion, a Bristol, UK-based sensor technology startup, raised £4M in Pre-Series A funding.
The round was led by SCVC, Foresight Group and Verve Ventures, with seed round investor u-blox AG remaining as a partner and customer.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development in precision motion sensing, delivering performance and accelerating autonomy in a GPS-challenged world.
Founded by Dr. Ying Lia Li, Zero Point Motion is a provider of sensor technology integrating silicon photonics and micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS). It leverages gravitational wave detection principles to develop ultra-sensitive, low-cost, miniaturized accelerometers and gyroscopes. These sensors have applications in industries such as defense, agritech, autonomous vehicles, consumer electronics and industrial logistics.
