Emovid, a Washington, DC-based provider of a platform built to enable unified and asynchronous video, text, and audio communication for businesses, raised an undisclosed amount in Seed funding.
The round, which brought the total amount to approx. $7M, was led by o-kaisha Investments.
The company intends to use the funds to:
- Expand product availability;
- Invest in generative AI features;
- Secure strategic distribution and marketing partnerships.
Led by CEO Victor Cho, Emovid provides a cross-platform online service that allows users to record a video from anywhere and have messages delivered in multi-modal form (video + audio + text + translation) to anyone, regardless of their platform or device. Additionally, it also allows for options like background blurring or facial smoothing through AI filters while maintaining transparency through a patent-pending Seal of Authenticity that shows exactly what elements of the video have been altered.
