ReVolt Technology AS, a Trondheim, Norway-based developer of an innovative battery technology, has recently raised €2m in a Series B round of funding.
The company intends to use the funding to continue its Zinc Flow Air Battery (ZFAB) development programs aimed at various EV applications.
ReVolt Technology has raised €26m to date, which add to the recent €21m in grants, loans, tax credits, subsidized loans and other financing incentives recently received by its subsidiaries ReVolt Technology LLC (Portland, OR) and ReVolt Technology GmbH (Dortmund, Germany).
Led by CEO James P. McDougall, the company is developing a technology based on the use of clean and abundant oxygen and zinc to generate low-cost, safe and green electric current with potential applications in some consumer electronics, electric vehicles and grid-based alternative energy storage solutions.
