Baffle, Inc., a Santa Clara, CA-based end-to-end encryption solution as a service, closed $3m funding round.
The round was led by True Ventures, with participation from Engineering Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop the platform, which has just been released for early access.
Baffle provides a end-to-end data encryption solution which protects data at all times from production through processing, including when in use, to allow organizations in media, financial services, healthcare and other sectors to migrate data stores to the cloud.
The platform protects data and makes data breaches irrelevant because data remains encrypted, not only when it is stored on-premise or in the cloud, but also when it is being processed by databases and applications.
