Infocyte, a San Antonio, TX-based enterprise malware and threat hunting technology platform, raised $3.4m in Series A funding.
The round was led by LiveOak Venture Partners, with participation from Feik Enterprises, and Hollis Family Partnership. In conjunction with the funding, Nicolas Hollis, CEO of Coherent Cyber, and Venu Shamapant, LiveOak General Manager, will join Infocyte’s Board of Directors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations.
Led by Chris Gerritz, Founder, Infocyte provides a platform that enables any enterprise security or IT professional to find malware and advanced persistent threats (APTs) present on networked devices (i.e. workstations and servers, both physical and virtual) and reduce the breach detection gap—the time that exists between infection and discovery—denying attackers the ability to persist undetected, and restore trust in a network’s health.
