Miyoko’s Kitchen, a Fairfax, Calif.-based maker of non-dairy, vegan cheese and butter alternatives, received a Series B funding of undisclosed amount.
The round was led by consumer-focused growth equity fund JMK Consumer Growth Partners, with participation from Obvious Ventures and Stray Dog Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth in product assortment and distribution capabilities completing a new manufacturing facility in Petaluma, CA.
Founded in 2014 by Miyoko Schinner, Miyoko’s Kitchen is vegan, dairy-free brand, whose products which are currently sold in retailers including Whole Foods, Natural Grocers, Wegmans, Raley’s, Trader Joe’s and many others.
The company donates 1% of all online sales to a different non-profit organization each month.
