Privacy Labs, a Bellevue, WA-based developer of privacy and security products for individuals, raised $4m in seed funding.
The round was led by Initialized Capital, with participation from Lemnos Labs, Liquid 2 Ventures, CrunchFund and Fuel Capital and angels Steve Jang, Lee Linden and Geoff Entress. In conjunction with the funding, Garry Tan, Initialized Capital Managing Partner is joining Privacy Labs’ board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to hire engineering, marketing and design talent and bring an initial product to market. Current openings are listed at https://privacylabs.workable.com.
Founded in 2016 by Giri Sreenivas and Dirk Sigurdson, who previously founded Mobilisafe, a venture-backed company acquired by Rapid7 in 2012, Privacy Labs is developing products and services for individuals to take back their data and reclaim their privacy and security.
