Emergo Group has launched a new venture capital investment firm.
Emergo Ventures, initially based in Nicosia, Cyprus, will focus on providing start-up or growth capital to businesses with innovative offerings in any sector.
It will typically invest up to $1m in a first round of financing while further resources will be available on achievement of milestones.
Commenting on the launch of the new firm, Dr. Mike Balm, CEO of Emergo, said: “We are looking for businesses that will become market leaders in clearly defined sectors by providing novel solutions to unmet customer needs.
“We want to build upon the experience of the Emergo Group and introduce a new way of doing business in an effort to take advantage of the multitude of investment opportunities of the 21st century”.
