Embedly, a developer of a technology designed to embed online content, has raised $450k in funding.
Investors include Social Leverage, Venture 51, StockTwits CEO Howard Lindzon, Adam Schwartz, Betaworks and Chris Sacca.
In conjunction with the funding, Adam Schwartz will join the company’s board of directors.
Embedly provides an API to convert standard URLs into embedded videos, images and rich article previews from different providers. API’s features include direct integration with 218 providers, rich meta data for any URL, analytics, mobile support, and RSS Feeds.
In July of 2010, the company already raised a small amount of funds.
